Men’s Coach Update.

Richmond HC are delighted to announce the appointment of Gareth Carr as Elite Men’s Coach with immediate effect.


Gareth will lead the Elite Men’s group into their 3rd season back in the NOW: PENSIONS MEN’S HOCKEY LEAGUE joining the existing leadership group including Team Manager Ben Blake and 1st XI Captain Charlie Duffell. Gareth brings an incredible amount of experience having played in the English National League set up for a number of years most recently with Holcombe HC in the East Conference and prior to that with East Grinstead HC in the Premier League and on their European Adventures in the EHL. On the international arena Gareth was a member of the South Africa squad that competed in the 2005 and 2009 Champions Challenge, the 2010 Hockey World Cup and the 2010 Commonwealth Games. He also competed in the Hockey Africa Cup of Nations in 2005, 2009 and 2011. Gareth retired from international hockey with 81 caps and an impressive tally of 50 goals.

Following on from a very successful first season with the Club we are also pleased to confirm that Peter Moralee will be continuing to lead Men’s Club Training with emphasis to the 3rd XI. Peter made great strides with a team in transition last season and it is fantastic that Peter will be staying with us to build on the great start made last season.
