RHC End of Season Awards 2025

As always the whole Adult Club got together last weekend to celebrate the many successes of the past Season which marked the 150th year since our creation ! Another glorious evening allowed for drinks outside on the grass at Old Deer Park and before the evening got away from us we marked the occasion with the presentation of the annual awards as follows

Club Person of the Year (The John Robson Award)

Rebecca Towerton - for her magnificent efforts in spearheading the Clubs application for ClubMark and in achieving Talent Centre accreditation through England Hockey aside from the superb work she does in managing the Junior Section.

Lifetime Achievement

Josh Smith - for his outstanding contributions to the M1 XI and for enjoying Premier League hockey at the age of 40 as well as his role as Lead Coach of the U7 Group Josh was rightly acknowledged on the night.

MAURICE LAMB

For the most successful season - M2 who have achieved promotion to the London Premier League (now one step away from National League) with a points total of 58 out of a possible 66 and a Maurice Lamb score of 87.87% with a special shout out to the reformed Stags who missed out with a score of 87.5% !!! - It is however worth noting that each of Redoubtables, W4, W5, Deerstalkers, W1, Ravens, M3 and Griffins all scored higher than 66.66% which is a remarkable effort all round.
