Director of Junior Hockey - Announcement

We are delighted to announce that Hamish Imrie has been appointed as our new Director of Junior Hockey.

With 43 National caps to his name and having playing Premier level hockey in England, Australia, Germany, Belgium and Holland Hamish has transferred that playing experience across to his coaching and has now combined coaching and playing for many years.

After several successful years as Head of Performance at Edinburgh University Hamish moved down to London last year taking control of our Mens 1st XI in the Premier League and will now turn his attention to leading our huge junior section with support from Catalina Giglio, Rebecca Towerton and Club Captain Andrew Denye.

Hamish will be assisted by the existing coaching team which has been supplemented over the summer with some excellent new additions and we will continue to look for further coaching hires where they are needed.

As the only London Club now operating across 3 full size pitches on the same site we have also asked Jasper Pflaum to lead on our very busy Sundays to ensure they run smoothly. Jasper has recently relocated from Australia and is an FIH Level 2 Coach (and one step away from Level 3).

In Queensland he was the Performance and Development Manager for Cairns Hockey Association which involved coordinating the entire representative program as well as developing training plans for state and national-level athletes. 

Across the last 3 years, Jasper has coached several Queensland representative teams to national championships. These include U13 boys, U16 boys and girls and the QLD Country Men and has previously worked as Technical Assistant Coach for the Australian Women’s Hockey 5’s team at the Oceania world cup qualifiers.

We are very excited to have brought this group together to work alongside our existing coaches and with the support of a now very experienced administrative support team.
